Baška Voda sits between the Adriatic and the imposing wall of Biokovo, at the western end of the Makarska Riviera. Once a community of fishermen, sailors and traders, it has grown into a lively seaside town while keeping the proportions and atmosphere of a small Mediterranean harbour.

The waterfront is the natural centre of the town. Boats, cafés, palms and stone houses line the shore, while beaches begin only a short walk away. Behind the modern summer atmosphere, Baška Voda also preserves traces of a much older settlement history through its archaeological collection and local heritage.
